Came to RRG for some climbing in the off season and found this little place open. It was SO good! Great prices, quick service and quick food delivery, and delicious nachos. We went back twice. Would really recommend - it was very good tennessee mexican food
I am Mexican and from southern California and can say that i was beyond surprised of how delicious their food was. For being in the middle of Kentucky it was a treat to have some food from home. I got the chimichanga , my dad got the shrimp diablo, cheese enchiladas and would definitely recommend!
We went to the Campton location and it's only a few miles from the Gorge so we went after a day of hiking with our two children. There was only one other group and they sat in the back room so there was plenty of room for social spacing. The place was relaxed and brightly decorated. They are working on a liquor license which might be why it was empty while every other restaurant was crowded. Lots of people were ordering take out. The food was served really quickly and was well made. I always like when there is fresh cilantro with the salad. I had the Carne Asada which came with tortillas. They have delicious dipping cheese and guacamole.
Location is permanently closed due to a fire, they are now operating under the name Mi Phoenix as a food truck in Powell County. They do have online ordering but their locations and available items vary, better to go in person or call.
